Children's Activities Planned for Earth Day 2011!
The Lytle Creek League of Conservators No Child Left Indoors and Master Gardener Volunteers are having a terrarium creation program for school-age children.
The program will be at one of the J. W. Denver Williams Park picnic pavilions and will begin at 10 a.m. Children will create a self-contained habitat they can take home.
The program is free and registration is required. Register by Clicking HERE or call Lori Williams, (937) 725–3811.
Also scheduled is a Butterfly Gala, which will take place at 10am at the same pavilion location. You can RSVP HERE or call Lori Williams at (937) 725–3811.
Children and their parents are also invited to join us at 9:30 a.m. before the program, for an Earth Day Service Project near the pavilion. We will be weeding and spreading mulch in several of the landscaped areas. This is a great opportunity to introduce your children to community service!
(As with all No Child Left Indoors programs, parents are to stay and share the experience with their children.)
