Wilmington Tree Commission







Mission
To maintain the existing trees in our city, to replace hazardous trees, and to plant trees along the public right-of-ways in our local neighborhoods.

In April 2010, Mayor David Raizk reinstated the City of Wilmington Tree Commission by appointing nine members in our community to steward the public trees in Wilmington. The commission's mission is to main the existing trees in our city, to replace hazardous trees, and to plant trees along the public right-of-ways in our local neighborhoods.

Meeting Information
Meetings are normally held 1st Tuesday of each month at 8:30AM at the City Building, in the office of the Clinton County Regional Planning Commission (Suite 100).

ReLeaf Wilmington

The Wilmington Tree Commission is seeking financial help from our residents by offering a Fall Seedling Sale. With a $10 donation, a commission member will deliver your tree/shrub seedling to your home on Friday, September 17th in appreciation of your generosity to help Releaf Wilmington.

After that date, the seedlings will be available for purchase (by donation) at Swindler's & Sons Florist on Locust Street in Wilmington or at McCarty Gardens on US 322 in Sabina.  The sale will continue through the Fall while supplies last.

A variety of specias are available with your $10 donation:
Persimmon, Sweet gum, Horsechesnut, Red bud, Swamp white oak and Buttonbush.

Supplies are limited and order preferences will be filled on a first-come basis.

Please make your check payable to the Clinton County Foundation/WTC Fund and indicate your first and second choice of seedling, and mail it to: Clinton County Foundation, P.O. Box 831, Wilmington, Ohio 45177.
