Help Chef Jen Roast a Hog for the Local Foods Dinner!
Volunteers needed for the CCOL Local Foods Dinner to help roast a hog. Starting at midnight and continuing into Saturday morning, August 22, two volunteers are needed for each two hour shift to roast a 100 lb hog for the Local Foods Dinner at 6 p.m. on Aug. 22. Chef Jen Purkey of the General Denver Hotel will be in charge of the operation but she needs some help.
Beverages of your choice will be served from the (cash) bar until 2:30 a.m. and then coffee will be available on the patio.
Acoustic instruments may be played. Please respect hotel guests and neighbors who may be sleeping.
The first two volunteers to sign up per shift will eat free at the Local Foods Dinner. Volunteers must stay the entire shift and follow Chef Jen's instructions. The main responsibility is to watch the gas roaster to make sure it continues to function. One free meal per person for working. So find a friend and sign-up for a shift.
Anyone is welcome to hang out with shift volunteers.
